18th ANNUAL FILM FESTIVAL BY, FOR, ABOUT – and TO SUPPORT – WOMEN
 
Stuart, FL– On Saturday, March 30, 2019, the Junior League of Martin County (JLMC) is hosting LUNAFEST® at Flagler Place, 201 SW Flagler Ave, Stuart, FL 34994.
 
Created in 2000, LUNAFEST is a national, traveling film festival celebrating, showcasing, and championing women in film. LUNAFEST is making a mark in the industry by creating a platform for women's untold stories and working to increase opportunity for women filmmakers. This unique film festival highlights women as leaders in society, and cover topics such as women’s health, body image, relationships, cultural diversity and breaking barriers.
 
The festivities kick off at 6:30 p.m. with a lively cocktail reception and light bites at Flagler Place. Guests will enjoy live music from acoustic guitarist Zack Jones while mingling and bidding on a wide selection of items and services available in the silent auction & raffle, including a one-of-a-kind Go Coastal canvas print painted live by Melissa Rinaldi. The film screening will begin at 7:30 p.m., where guests will view eight remarkable films told by exceptional women.
 
Tickets are $50 for advance purchase and include: viewing of the films, light bites and open bar during the cocktail reception and intermission, live entertainment, amazing silent auction items, a swag bag, and more!
 
This year, the Super Moon sponsor is Publix Super Market Charities. The Full Moon sponsors are Martin Health System, [insert more]. All proceeds raised from this evening will go back into the Junior League of Martin County’s community programs that focus on children’s literacy and family welfare.
