JLMC Cares

JLMC Cares This program allows the JLMC the opportunity to work with local non-profit organizations, community events, and individual community members. The League assists with a variety of projects that can be completed in one day, ensuring volunteers quickly respond to community needs.

The League typically helps staff events by providing hands-on leadership and assistance to people attending programs or hosting our events, such as reading books to area youth. JLMC members host a book drive for new teachers teaching grades K-7 in Martin County, support the international costal cleanup, and more.

The Junior League of Martin County stands at the ready to address any community need as it comes up. Through the JLMC Cares program, the League has the flexibility to partner with community organizations as unmet needs are identified. Some examples of recent JLMC Cares projects include painting the former home of Project LIFT, distributing bikes at the White Doves Holiday Distribution event, participating in the International Coastal Cleanup coordinated locally by Keep Martin Beautiful, providing turkeys to the Treasure Coast Food Bank, and hosting an informational breakfast for Devereux Community Based Care. These are just a small sampling of the recent JLMC Cares projects that the women of the Junior League have provided to the community.
