Scholarship Application
2022-2023
 
The Junior League of Martin County will award at least two (2) $1,000.00 scholarships for graduating seniors, which may be used for any trade school, accredited college, university, or educational institute.
 
Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
  • Attend a Martin County public school
  • Be a female senior high school student
  • Demonstrates a commitment to volunteerism and leadership
 
A few important items:
  • Application packets must be e-mailed by January 20, 2023. Applications will not be considered unless all required documents noted/explained above are present.
  • Either fill out the form below or email your completed application packet as a single PDF to community@jlmcflorida.org.
  • If selected for a scholarship, you will be invited to attend your school’s Scholarship Night.
  • Should you have any questions, please contact us at community@jlmcflorida.org.
Please list your volunteer activities. Include the following details. 1) Description of services performed (church choir, food bank, student government, etc.). 2) Approximate number of hours per week spent in each activity. 3) Length of time (month, year) you have participated in each activity. 4) Number of service hours accrued in high school.
Please list your extracurricular activities & leadership roles (jobs, sports, clubs, church, etc.).
Discuss how you have demonstrated a commitment to making a difference in your community. Please describe the following: 1) The skills you have used and learned in your volunteer work. 2) What you have gained from your experiences. 3) Please describe the impact that your chosen volunteer activities have on the community and why you selected these causes. 4) What plans you have for the future with respect to your skills/experiences. 5) Include post-secondary educational plans. 6) Please include if you qualify for Bright Futures.
By completing the information below, the parent and student agree to grant the Junior League of Martin County permission to use the photographs, videos and writings from the 2022-2023 Application and Scholarships and Grants Awards for any legal use, including but not limited to: publicity, illustration, advertising and web content (including, but not limited to: Instagram, Facebook, JLMC Website). Furthermore, I understand no royalty or other compensations shall become payable to me by reason of such use.
Your unofficial transcripts must be emailed to community@jlmcflorida.org in order for your application to be considered. By checking the box below, you agree that you will email your transcripts within 48 hours of submission and prior to the application deadline (January 20, 2023).
