THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF MARTIN COUNTY’S
LUNAFEST® RAISES OVER $19,0000

Stuart, FL– On Saturday, March 30, 2019, the Junior League of Martin County (JLMC) hosted LUNAFEST® for its 4th consecutive year, raising over $19,000!
The festivities kicked off at Flagler Place with a lively cocktail reception where 150 guests mixed & mingled, while enjoying live acoustic tunes and bidding on exciting silent auction & raffle items, including a one-of-a-kind Go Coastal canvas print painted live by Melissa Rinaldi. Everyone in attendance enjoyed a welcome drink, light bites, sweet treats, and a fabulous swag bag with custom movie-themed earrings from Prep Obsessed.

Following the cocktail reception, guests made their way to film screening area to view eight remarkable short films told by exceptional women filmmakers. Everyone laughed, cried, and smiled, as they watched impactful, thought-provoking stories about women who were full of passion & drive, as well as women who have persevered through life’s challenges.

“LUNAFEST is a great match for our organization's own mission because it is about empowering women in our community, with thought provoking films that inspire conversation and unity,” said JLMC President Rosi Shepard. “It is the ultimate reason that we choose this film festival as a fundraiser to support our community impact projects.”

This year, the Super Moon sponsor was Publix Super Markets Charities. Full Moon sponsors were Cleveland Clinic Martin
Health and The Corradino Group.

JLMC is glad to have hosted another successful LUNAFEST event and looks forward to using the funds raised on local community projects that focus on children’s literacy and family welfare.
